INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH & SAFETY
This short course will enable you to learn the occupational safety and health essentials as well as equipping yourself with the knowledge and skills to be able to define and identify hazards and risks.
MANUAL HANDLING
Manual Handling regulations require employers to ensure their employees are given information and training on Manual Handling at work. Our course ensures that employers fulfil their obligation and teaches employees the best practices in Manual Handling including techniques they require to move and handle items in the workplace safely
FIRE WARDEN
This course is sometimes also referred to as Fire Marshall training and is aimed at those responsible for implementing and maintaining fire safety management procedures in the workplace. The course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to carry out their Fire Warden/Marshall duties effectively
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
Introduces the Environmental issue’s associated with business activities and gives an overview on how to protect the business as well as the environment. This course is aimed at organisation in any sector.
SLIPS TRIPS AND FALLS
This course will help enforce an organisational health and safety policy and will demonstrate how to control slips, trips and falls in the workplace. It also highlights the importance of managing health and safety risks associated with slips, trips and falls accordingly. This course is aimed at everyone, in all industries across all sectors.
RISK ASSESSMENT TRAINING
Risk Assessment training ensures participants are aware of the importance of identifying, recording and reducing hazards in order to maintain a safe and legally compliant workplace. The course provides the knowledge and understanding to complete day-to-day dynamic risk assessments. This course is aimed at all employees and will prove especially useful to those working in a managerial capacity.
FIRST AID ESSENTIALS
This course provides an understanding of first aid and emergencies that could occur in the workplace. It provides an overview of the core elements of first aid and equips participants with the knowledge and skills to become a first aid responder. This course is for anyone looking to become first aid responder in the workplace.
WORKING AT HEIGHT
Working at height refers to any work on, below, or above ground level where there is risk of personal injury through falling. Falls from height remain one of the main causes of major injury in the workplace. This course will provide participants with the knowledge required to comply with the current Work at Height Regulations. The course is aimed at anyone who does or could undertake work at height activities.
LEGIONELLA AWARENESS
Every worker across all sectors should understand what Legionella is and the effects it can cause. This course will give participants knowledge about the tools they can use to prevent or contain Legionella contamination. It includes practical exercises in sampling of water temperature.
ASBESTOS AWARENESS
This course will provide participants with the knowledge to be able to recognise asbestos, and how to safely deal with it if encountered. They will be able to understand the risks associated with asbestos so they can avoid work that may disturb the asbestos. The course is aimed at anyone who could encounter asbestos as part of their work activities.
LONE WORKING
Organisations need to consider how they manage the safety and security of lone workers both to protect their staff members and the organisations reputation. This course helps participants manage their own personal safety and teaches them how to assess the risks associated with Lone Working. This course is for anyone who works alone and individuals who have direct line management responsibility for someone who works alone.
